A Study on the Attitude of the Instustrial Unmarried Female Workers Toward Family Planning


Abstract
This study was conducted for 378 industrial unmarried female workers to find out the attitude about family planning during the period of September 1, 1989 February 31, 1990 in Iri.
The obtained results are summarized as follow ;
1. The age distribution of the female workers was the most in age group of 15-K as 77. 3% of the total.
2. The eighty nine percents of the female workers were finished their education at middle school.
3. The majority of the female workers(40.6%) utilized the dormitory as their room and 19.3% of the female workers shared room with their friends.
4. The attitude of the female workers about premarital experience in sex of the marriage partners was answered that "absolutely disagree" was 69.8% and "acceptable" was 19.9%.
5. From the moral point of view, the attitude of the female workers about premarital experience was answered that "occasionally confused" was 34.4%.
6. They exposed to the family planning through mass-media channels , 44.3% of the newspaper and the magazine.
7. The influencing factors on the attitudes of agreeing to induced abortion were economic causes accounts for 53.6%.
8. While the influencing factors for disagreeing are ; 49.5% due to ethical reasons, 14. 3% because of religious beliefs and maternal health : 12.4%.
